"A master advocate in the courtroom..."
I have known Chet Rabon since he and I practiced at a large firm during the late '90s. I had just joined the firm as a partner, and Chet, one of our firm's bright young trial lawyers, had just played a pivotal role in winning a judgment for $13.25 million in a hard-fought 4 month jury trial -- a victory that in fact saved the firm's budget that year. He and I worked together and became friends, but we moved to other firms within several years.
We've stayed in touch, and during the last few years, I've had the chance to work with Chet on several significant cases as co-counsel. The matters were complex, so we've spent lots of time together. Chet has shown that he has the proper sense of urgency about his cases and has the kind of innate temperament, judgment, and experience to know the best way to prepare cases for trial. Even more importantly, he has a strong presence in the courtroom and is outstanding at cross-examination, among his other strong trial skills. I believe that he communicates well with clients and is good at helping them understand complex legal issues. In my view, he is a master advocate in the courtroom and exactly who you want on your side if you have a tough civil case.
